ANTIQUE CORSET HOOKS (A LITTLE TIGHT AROUND THE MIDDLE)

Since 1550 and for the next 350 years women have done what I consider the utmost in alluring us men . I commend them for that but I don't think we needed too much goading to be interested in the figure of a woman. That interest came quite naturally to us from the age of 12 on. The tool used in creating a sveldte waistline and accentuating the breasts was the "corset". These had to be one of the most uncomfortable pieces of clothing ever invented. The ropes and strings on the back of the corsets were tightened by "corset hooks". And I mean TIGHTENED. Deaths and fainting were some common tragedies. Corsets stopped  being a staple undergarment by the 1920's and are now used mainly as sexy night wear or medically for back pain. Pictured are some old and ancient corset hooks.
Andy Warhol was shot in 1968 and never fully recovered, and wore a corset for the rest of his life.

Trivia: By the year 2050, the world's elderly will outnumber the young for the first time in history.

Did You Know?  Shoppers at a food store in Puyallup, Washington State, were forced to flee in 2009 after cattle broke away from a fair parade and ran amok in the aisles. A year earlier in 2008, a bull from the same fair charged into a bank. ( And that's no bull)
